Award details

The College of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences is offering Dean’s scholarships to international students starting one of our full time undergraduate or post-graduate programmes in Health Sciences and Life Sciences starting in September.

This scholarship is only available to full-time international students and will only be paid once for each eligible level of study, subject to meeting progression requirements, in the form of a fee waiver.

Value: £2,000 fee waiver per academic year.

Eligibility

To be eligible for a Dean’s Scholarship an applicant must:

  • Apply for and fulfil the entry criteria for admission to the following courses:

Department of Health Sciences: 

  • Occupational Therapy BSc

  • Occupational Therapy (Pre-registration) MSc

  • Physiotherapy BSc

  • Physiotherapy (Pre-registration) MSc

  • Social Work MSc

  • Advanced Clinical Practice MSc

  • Nursing (Adult) (Child Health) (Mental Health) BSc 

Department of Life Sciences: 50 Scholarships

    • Mechanisms and Therapy in Infection and Inflammation MSc

    • Mechanisms and Therapy in Cancer MSc

    • Environmental Management MSc

    • Environmental Management MRes

    • Environmental Sciences MRes

    • Sustainability, Entrepreneurship and Design MSc

    • Cognitive and Clinical Neuroscience MSc

    • Psychology, Culture and Evolution MSc

    • Sports, Health and Exercises Sciences MSc

    • Sport and Exercise Psychology MSc

  • Be in receipt of an offer to study on one of the above full time programmes starting in September 2024.

  • Applicants registering onto a postgraduate programme must have a minimum 2:1 or equivalent internationally recognised undergraduate qualification.

  • Must be classed as an Overseas fee-paying student based on the UK government regulations. Applicants who are unsure of their fee status should note Brunel uses the information you have provided in your application form to assess your fee status against regulations set by the UK government. For information on these regulations please visit the independent organisation UKCISA’s website.

  • Must attend an online interview (if applicable).

  • Must not be in receipt of any other scholarship.

  • Applicants must meet all conditions and be in receipt of an Unconditional Firm offer of place by the time Scholarships are confirmed by a cutoff point in early September. Applicants must meet all academic and non-academic conditions and be ready to register onto the course. Applicants holding Conditional Offers in early September will not be awarded the scholarship

Those not eligible for these Scholarships

  • Applicants NOT classed as Overseas for fees purposes based on UK government regulations, or those with an unresolved fee status. For 2024/25 entry, this includes applicants classed as European by Brunel University London who are already in receipt of reduced fees so are not eligible for this scholarship.

  • Applicants holding an offer on a programme other than those stated in Section 2 of these terms and conditions listed above.

  • Applicants who will NOT commence their course in September 2024 - applicants holding offers for deferred entry will not be considered for the scholarship in 2024/5. If an applicant is awarded the scholarship and then defers entry, the scholarship will be withdrawn. Applicants may then be reconsidered in the following academic year, provided no changes are made to scholarship eligibility.

  • Undergraduate applicants entering a course at FHEQ Level 5 (year 2) or FHEQ Level 6 (year 3).

  • Applicants entering a course with Brunel Pathway College (BPC) or who are progressing to a Brunel course from a BPC course.

  • Applicants entering a course with the Brunel Language Centre (BLC)
